Create your own WiFi network

Connectify-Me
This tutorial will show you how to create your own WiFi network at home, to share your wired LAN internet from your computer to all your WiFi supported devices.
This easy tutorial involves the use of just one piece of software, 'Connectify-me'. It can be downloaded here. Once you download and install this software (lite version or full version), this is all you need to do:

1.  Left-click on the shadowed icon as shown in the image.

2. In the window that appears, create a name and password for your WiFi network. Here, let me remind you that the computer from which you are attempting to share the connection must support WiFi. (duh!) You can assume your computer has WiFi if the 'share over' menu shows 'Wi-Fi', as in the picture. Then go ahead and click on 'Start Hotspot'.

That's all there is to it! You should now be able to see the WiFi network through your device. To connect to it, just enter the password and you should be able to use the internet from any location within the range of the WiFi network.

u could also use softwares like maryfi or virtual router..

right you are! it is possible to use those software. the reason i did not mention them is that connectify has a better user interface than them. additionally, i have experienced problems with virtual router on windows 7. thank you for your comment!
